When it comes to car or truck-related DIY projects, you've got to love what ingenuity, determination, and a little bit of elbow grease can get you. You've heard the saying, "Work smarter, not harder." As it turns out, this can apply to some of the best DIY projects in the sense that you don't need to start from scratch to get an incredible end result. Sometimes, it's using an existing framework and adding in a few special tweaks that can really take something to the next level. Handyman and YouTuber Bryan Sober ended up using that approach, and it worked out pretty well for him.
Back in 2013, Sober turned his truck bed into a luxury camper's perfect bedroom. Now, I guess "luxury" is a pretty subjective term in this case. It's no five-star set-up by any stretch, but considering that it started out as a truck bed, it's pretty damn impressive.
The cool thing about this camper, though, is that pretty much any decent craftsman could have this built in no time. All you need is some boards and plywood as well as some basic woodworking skills. This finished product definitely brings a new angle to camping, and it actually looks pretty comfortable, all things considered. Nice work!

As we mentioned before, Sober completed the first version of his camper in 2013. Fast forward a few years later to 2016, and Bryan ended up making an updated version of his camper. Let's take a look inside!
Pretty awesome, right? Now, since his big camper project, Sober has strayed away from the more vehicle-centric renovations and moved over to garden-related DIY projects.
Still impressive stuff, no doubt, but we'd love to see him go back to his gearhead roots.
