Drunk Driver Drove All the Way Home Without Realizing What He Ran Over

If you're in a truck, and you hit something, it would stand to reason that you should realize something is wrong, whether your wheel is pulling to one side or you simply hear the massive "KA-JOONK" as your chassis bounces over a foreign object in the road.

Thanks to the absurd story of one Alabama man, we're reminded once again that driving is a responsibility not everyone takes seriously.

Drunk Driver Hits Motorcyclist, Keeps On Going

Back in March 2017, an Alabama man faced several charges after police say he hit a motorcycle, knocked its rider off the bike, and left it wedged in his front bumper.

WKRG-TV reported, in its story uploaded to YouTube, that a Jeep rear-ended a motorcycle and knocked the driver off the bike. As previously mentioned, this lunatic just kept on going. Police found the car in a nearby driveway with the bike still wedged in his front bumper.

William Pruitt, a then-29-year-old man of Mobile, Al., faced charges of DUI, assault first degree, use and/or possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, according to Jalopnik. The motorcycle rider was sent to the hospital and originally listed in critical condition.

As a motorcycle rider myself, I (and everyone who prefers two wheels to four) can only ask two things: first, don't get lazy behind the wheel, look before you change lanes, merge responsibly, and follow at appropriate distances; second, don't run motorcycles over and keep on trucking. What a world where that isn't an obvious statement.
