Motorcycle Racer Nailed by Giant Goose at 115 MPH

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Australia is known for the large number of giant geese that hang out around the track. In fact, the track is located right on the coast and even has a pond right smack dab in the middle of it.

Sure, this may seem like a pretty harmless fact, but it ended up spelling serious danger for one motorcycle rider after he got knocked square off his bike following a dangerous run-in with two wild flying-birds. You really can't make this stuff up.

Now, most of us have all seen the moment when Randy Johnson hit a bird with a baseball and the freakin' thing straight-up exploded (if you haven't, you can check it out in the video below), but this bird-related action sports incident is on a whole other level of extreme.

As you can see from the slowed-down onboard bike cam footage of the intense bird strike, it was actually the rider in front of the guy who wiped out who ended up getting hit by a bird. Somehow, this guy was able to maintain his balance and stay on two wheels, though, in his stunned state, he ended up crashing into the biker behind him, who went crashing hard to the ground. So, he was able to dodge the bird that flew straight at him, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to dodge a motorcycle.

There is no word on whether or not any injuries were sustained by the Phillip Island Track wreck, but hopefully the motorcyclist who crashed ended up okay. Because that crash did not look like it felt good AT ALL.
