The Kruger National Park is known around the world as an amazing place to see some of Africa's most exotic animals up close and personal. But, not every animal encounter at the park is a peaceful or pleasant one. The YouTube channel Kruger Sightings, which we've shown here a time or two, features a number of videos that show either animals attacking other animals or animals attacking vehicles. In the case of the below video, we've actually got a little bit of both.
Back in 2015, one group of folks really got up close and a little more than they bargained for, when a buffalo popped a car tire and ultimately escaped some lions that were viciously attacking it. Check out the footage for yourself. But, be warned. It's definitely not for the faint of heart.

It is simply amazing how strong the will to live is. There are not many creatures that could find a way to survive an attack by two ferocious male lions, but this buffalo is one of those.
Just when he looked like he was tiring out and couldn't fight any longer, the buffalo was able to puncture the tire of a car, and the sound of the popping was just enough to scare the lions off of him.
Now, obviously, the buffalo couldn't have known that popping a tire would actually be enough to scare off the hungry lions, but the animal's willingness to fight through the attack was rewarded by his ultimate method of escape being there at the right place and at the right time.
