Everyone who works out in the field eventually gets their tractor stuck in the mud. It's just something that's bound to happen at one point or another, especially in places that tend to get heavy rainfall. Call it part of the job description. That said, it doesn't make it any less crummy when you do find yourself faced with the ol' stuck tractor predicament. That'll put a real damper on your day. Talk about the ultimate gear grinder.
Way back in 2007 (back when grainy footage and crummy resolution were par for the course on YouTube), one tractor driver found himself tire-deep in the muck and the mire. Not to be discouraged, the driver uses his maneuvering skills, and, with a little help from the tractor's power and massive back wheels, he's able to haul himself and his ride out of that mini mud swamp. Way to go, man!

The video's barely a minute long, but you can tell by the way that the guy filming exhales, "Finally!" that the struggle to rescue the machine probably took a lot longer than a minute. That's where a good deal of patience comes into play with everyone involved. Heck, we just watched a minute-long video, and we could even feel the frustration of the situation. Imagine actually being there!
Now, some say that the tractor actually rescues itself in this case. Which begs the question: Is it the driver or the tractor here that works all the magic? Honestly, probably a little bit of both. The perfect combination of man and machine getting it done. You gotta love it!
