At first glance, the Sherp ATV, a Russian-made off-roading vehicle, looks pretty ridiculous. In fact, after watching the first couple seconds of the below video, you might think that this ATV were just some kind of weird toy. But, just give it a few more seconds, and you'll see that this thing is a full-size vehicle that's capable of taking on some seriously treacherous terrain.

Just watch how it handles ANYTHING thrown at it! It's even capable of breaking through the top ice layer of a lake and driving through the whole damn thing! This ATV blew right past four-wheel drive and went straight to beast mode. The Russians really are on another level when it comes to crafting winter-ready machines.

As you probably guessed, the Sherp ATV is an amphibious vehicle, meaning that it can drive both on land and on the water. With a top speed of 30 MPH on land and around 5 MPH on water, the Sherp ATV is equipped with 63? x 25? tires that pretty much account for a good 3/4 of the vehicle's size. The low pressure tires are inflated by the Sherp's 44-horsepower, 1.4-liter Kubota-v1505 turbodiesel, providing the vehicle with its off-roading versatility.

This Sherp ATV is also made to be extremely durable, sporting a high-strength steel hull along with a reinforced roll structure and a thick skid plate underneath. With the dual heating system, battery bank, and 17.7-gallon fuel tank, this off-roading Swiss Army knife is also built for the hardcore outdoorsman.

Simply put, the fact that they call this thing an "ATV" seems like a bit of a misnomer. It definitely looks more like a futuristic tank than anything else.
