Any time a vehicle has "8?--8" in its name, it's giving you a heads up that it's about to absolutely dominate anything and everything in its path. We're talking cars, trucks, buses, zombie apocalypse hordes. You name it. With that should in mind, it should probably come as no surprise to you, just based on the name alone, that the Avtoros Shaman 8x8 is an absolute BEHEMOTH of epic proportions.
The monstrous off-road vehicle was featured on the TV show Top Gear (the Matt Leblanc version) back in 2018, and I'd say it definitely made a statement. Avtoros Shaman 8?--8 Specs
Built by Russian company Avtoros, the four-cylinder diesel engine 8?--8 all-terrain vehicle (try saying that 10 times fast), is powered by an Iveco F1C 3-liter turbo diesel, which is capable of churning out a not-too-shabby 146 horsepower through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Shaman has three different driving styles for optimum maneuverability, allowing the driver to seamlessly switch steering systems between on-road, off-road, and crab mode, which turns all eight wheels sideways for a crab-walk style ride. It's also got a top speed of around 50 MPH (80 KM/H).
Whoa. Can you imagine going off-roading in this thing? I mean, technically it's an ATV, but calling it one would no doubt be selling the off-roader short short. It's more like a Jeep mixed with a monster truck mixed with a tank mixed with an amphibious vehicle. That's right, the Russian ATV can even navigate on water, through the use of low pressure tires.
There's no stopping this monster!
