Now, this right here is something that we like to refer to as a "must-watch video." It's not all that often that you see a crazy stunt like this, especially in this sort of desert locale, this up close and personal, and in this high quality. You can thank the rider's helmet cam for the badass HD video. Everything else? Well, it all just sort of fell into place.
A little backstory: After flying more than 100 feet through the dry desert air, this dirt bike lands squarely on the hood of a Jeep Wrangler somewhere in the sandy dunes of Qatar. As it turns out, the crash was a result of poor communication skills between the guys on the dunes and the spotters below. No one noticed the Jeeps on the other side until it was already too late.
Per Desert Dirtbikes:
My mate hit a big dune jump and due to lack of communication between the boys at the top of the dune nobody saw the Jeep coming until he was airborne, he landed on the hood but thankfully rode away like a boss. An unbelievable escape from what could of been a deadly dune wreck/crash.
The fact that there was a crash like this in basically the middle of nowhere is basically a statistical miracle. They couldn't do this again if they tried! Which, if you think about it, is definitely a good thing. Land on a Jeep convoy once? Shame on you. Land on a Jeep convoy twice? Well, at that point, you're just a maniac with a death wish.
