We’ve seen plenty of trailer loading fails in our day, and if you’re a frequent browser of the site, you’ve probably seen a decent amount of them yourself. Typically, they fall in the “so cringeworthy they’re actually sad” category. You know the type.

But, fortunately for him, one boater won’t be getting featured in a loading fail video compilation anytime soon. As you can see from the above video that went down Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, the guy seemingly dodged the trailer loading process altogether by utilizing a handy little set-up that lets him drive his boat on land. Now THAT’S how you make an exit.

Now, this is definitely cool as far as novelty goes, but it obviously raises just a few questions. As one YouTube commenter points out, “Boat drives on land…Wait, thats illegal.” I mean, he’s not wrong. Something tells me that once the guy made it to the end of the docking entrance and the camera stopped recording, that he went with a more traditional trailer option. Unless the dude has a death wish, and he actually tried venturing out into traffic in that thing.

Another commenter begged the important question, “And what’s later?” What he meant by that was, “How in the hell did this guy get his boat back home?” One commenter jokingly suggests that “Wings come out and it takes off,” but, again, in reality, he probably loaded that thing on an actual trailer with the help of his buddies.

For all we know, the loading process went off without a hitch (pun intended). Or, it could’ve gone terribly, embarrassingly wrong. That’s the beauty of controlling the narrative by knowing when and when not to press record. Talk about smooth sailing.
