The world was introduced to some wild news back in 2012, when a guy named Nathaniel was featured on the season premiere of My Strange Addiction. In the episode, Nathaniel explained his lewd sexual attraction to his '90s Chevy Monte Carlo.

This bizarre TV moment left viewers from all over the world shocked and confused. So, buckle your seatbelts as we remember the day that this wild episode of lascivious behavior was aired on television.

My Strange Addiction: Sex With My Car

Mechanophilia means to be sexually attracted to objects such as bicycles, automobiles, airplanes, etc. All of which, Nathaniel explains he has been attracted to since he was young. Now, there is a legal limit regarding this activity in certain places. The fetish is treated as a misdemeanor, and if caught, it can even land you on a sex-offender registration. Nathaniel doesn't seem to care about that much, however, seeing as the episode features all aspects of his then-current car sex life. He is filmed kissing and touching the car in nearly every spot from the tailpipe to the headlights.

Nathaniel claims to have picked up the car, which he named Chase, from a resale lot about five years prior to the episode's airing. As abnormal as it is, at least he picked an "age-appropriate" vehicle -- a 24-year-old ride -- since it's extremely close to his own age of 27.

Along with many shots of Nathaniel touching his car, the episode also showcased his roommate, and she explained her feelings about the situation. Her initial reaction, along with just about everyone, was extremely shocked, because it was hard for most people to understand the relationship. Later on, she does explain her worry for Nathaniel because of how wild the whole situation is. She also brings up how people may be quick to judge or criticize, especially in public places.

I don't even want to think about how the camera man felt as he filmed this episode. With all the shots they needed to put this together, I think it's safe to assume it was probably an uncomfortable situation. I know there's lot of car lovers out there, but this man went even further. Regardless, I guess everyone has something strange about them, but maybe just be careful with what you broadcast to the whole world.
