It's hard to tell from the above picture alone, but this mutated monster was once your run-of-the-mill 1959 Chevrolet El Camino. Once Chris Walker of ITW Hot Rods in Stacy, Minnesota got through with it though, this once mild-mannered Chevy transformed into the beastly, 800-horsepower "Hulk Camino" you see before you. But, unlike the Marvel superhero you WILL like this thing when it's angry.

Besides that dark green paint job, this souped-up El Camino is Hulk-like inside and out. To give it its monstrous look, Walker moved the roof further back and added a custom chassis and firewall to hold everything together. He also added gullwing-style roof flaps and a gear shifter that's mounted in the middle of the roof. Not to mention, those massive rear tires were meant to tear up some pavement. Just nasty, nasty stuff.
But, how about those engine specs, though?! That's what really makes this dastardly rat rod stand out from the rest. Powered by a 400 ci Dart Block Chevy V8 engine, the "Hulk Camino" churns out a whopping 800 horsepower, with some major assistance from the beefy 671 BDS blower, two Holley 750 cfm carburetors, and the Dana 60 rear end. It's no wonder this ride can do the quarter-mile in 12.49 seconds at 125.33 MPH. It's a straight up speed demon!
If you liked what you saw from Chris Walker's team and are looking for more of the same, then you're in luck. According to Dragzine, Walker has some more nastiness in store. Apparently, he told Rod Authority that ITW Hot Rods is working on a 1957 Chevy Nomad restomod. We can't way to see this thing!
