It was in March 2015 when Keith Carmouche was driving his Nissan XE truck through the Avoyelles Parish of Louisiana, just enjoying a nice scenic commute. All of the sudden, he spotted an alligator lurking in the tall grass. Rather than keep on going like he should have, ol' Keith decided to back his truck up all quiet like and see what the gator was up to. Big mistake!

In the above video, the gator gives the Nissan truck a little warning tap to let Keith know that he means business. But, when the Louisiana native just responds with "Hey, watch my truck" and keeps on backing it up, the riled-up reptile decides it's time to go in for the kill. That's when the massive alligator rips off the Nissan's front bumper, causing $1,000 worth of damage to the pickup truck.

"Son of a gun," was all Keith could really muster up after that train wreck of a gator encounter. Yeah, he realized he had goofed, big time.

"I honestly thought he would back up and run the other way, when he did the exact opposite," Carmouche later told Jukin Media.

"Afterwards, I got out of my truck, with the alligator still present, grabbed the bumper pieces, and then left."

Grabbing pieces of your truck's bumper and getting the hell out of dodge is pretty much the Louisiana equivalent of taking your ball and going home. You can't really get much more defeated than that.

Though, to be fair, having to shell out $1,000 for a new front bumper is a much more preferable fate to being gator food. And, that gator looked HUNGRY. So, on the bright side of things, at least our guy Keith got to head home with all of his limbs intact.
