What do you do when you're bored, and you have a 1994 Chevy truck that's just sitting around and collecting rust? You blow that sucker up with 30 pounds worth of tannerite, that's what. At least that's what the guys in the above video did, and we'd say that the entire experiment turned out to be pretty badass. They shot at the bucket of tannerite from about 250 yards out, and though it took a couple of tries, the grand finale definitely seemed to be worth the wait.

While the whole thing was already explosive enough to begin with, these guys could've actually upped the ante with the demolition display, since they brought 40 pounds of tannerite along with them. Unfortunately, they had a five-gallon bucket, so they were stuck with the maximum limit of 30 pounds of tannerite. We wonder what they did with the remaining 10 pounds of the binary explosive target. Hopefully, it didn't go to waste.

As YouTuber ws6jay writes in the video's description, the Chevy truck's incendiary send-off ended up causing quite the controversy.

"The local sheriff's department came, they said it knocked out the windows on a house on the hill and it shook the sheriff's house in town (about 15-20 miles away). They also said they received about 100 phone calls. I highly doubt any of this is true, they issued no tickets, and I'm not even sure if the closest town even has 100 houses."

I'm not sure what all the fuss was about. After all, these guys were on private land (which ws6jay mentions further down in the comments) and didn't seem to be close to too many houses.

It would've been funny to see their interaction with the sheriff's department, though. It's gotta be hard to have a serious talk with the cops while a completely demolished truck is only a few feet away.
