For another edition of "Impromptu Street Races," this black Buick Regal Grand National comes equipped with a twin turbocharged LSX. That means it's always ready to hit absurd speeds. Here's a video showing this piece of American muscle displaying its incredible power.

The video is only 13 seconds long, and the Grand National was only just warming up for 10 of those seconds. When it actually decided to take off, that thing was gone, man. It practically entered another damn solar system.

As one YouTube commenter writes, "That car doesn't accelerate. It teleports." We couldn't have said it any better ourselves. That Buick covered an entire stretch of road in the time it takes you to flip on your turn signal and check your blind spot. That's blink-and-you-missed-it type speed.

According to Speed Society, that Grand National is so fast because "the original power plant has been swapped out with an e85 powered junkyard 4.8L twin turbo application making 500 rwhp on 7 psi of boost!" Simply put, there aren't too many cars out there that could take this thing on in a street race.

Fun fact for all you NASCAR fans out there: Did you know that that the Regal Grand National, which debuted in 1982, was named for NASCAR Winston Cup Grand National Series? As it turns out, Buick had won the Manufacturers Cup in 1981 and 1982, which made for the perfect opportunity to capitalize on its success. A popular slogan at the time was, "What wins on Sunday, sells on Monday." So, even without all the souped-up modifications, the Grand National was made to go really, really fast.
