With a Reher-Morrison V8 racing engine and two nitrous kits spitting a 600 shot down the track, the "Swamp Thing" chopped Chevy Nova must have gotten its name because the competition ends up looking like it's treading water by comparison. Or something like that.

This mean wagon screeches down the track with such reckless abandon that it makes other cars spin out trying to catch up. Check out the above clip to see what it looks like to get absolutely SWAMPED in drag racing. Fast and the Furious ain't got nothing on this.

You haven't seen ANYTHING like this! This chop top Chevy Nova wagon means business, running a 632 cubic inch motor with 2 kits of nitrous, this bad boy is laying down a LOT of power on this unprepped surface! Swamp Thing and crew headed down to No Prep Mayhem in Wichita to battle it out again some of the biggest names in No Prep history! With a fat tire and a 600 shot of nitrous between two kits, you can guarantee this is going to be a good time!

Hot damn! It's amazing what a little bit of extra juice in the form of nitrous can really do to boost a car's ability on the drag strip. I mean, this monstrously souped-up Nova was a certified force to be reckoned with, and everyone who was at the no-prep race that day knew it.

Sure, the Swamp Thing ended up getting smoked in that last heat (which just so happened to be the one for all the marbles), but hey, you can't win 'em all.
