Even the divorce parties are bigger in Texas.
Now, I'll be honest. Before watching this video of a LaCoste, Texas woman sending her wedding dress straight into the afterlife with one hell of a massive explosion, I never knew that divorce parties were even a thing.
But, it appears that they very much are a thing, and if this footage is any indication, they actually look like a pretty damn good time.
Per Circa:
Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler enlisted the help of her brother to blow up her wedding dress in LaCoste, Texas.
"It was soooo awesome. It was bigger and louder than I could have imagined. The explosion was so loud that it was heard for miles. We had people as far as 15 miles away tell us they heard it!" said Santleben-Stiteler.
Circa asked Santleben-Stiteler whether she would recommend this to anyone else celebrating divorce.
"I would only recommend it for people that know how to use this stuff."

As you can see from the video, it looks like this thing was something of a family affair. You've got the brother helping out with the explosives. Dad's probably out gathering firewood for the bonfire later that night, while Mom is likely putting together a huge spread. A few of the little cousins were probably running around in the distance, shooting Roman candles at each other.
If I know my Texas, I'd say this post-divorce shindig was an all-night type deal, filled with barbecue eating, beer drinking, and maybe even a little bit of square dancing. And, of course, more explosions. Because no Texas-style divorce party is complete without an excessive number of explosions.
