The Bush Winch Is a Helpful Tool for the Hardcore Off-Roader

If you're all about that off-road life, you probably know that with the excitement of taking on different types of terrain comes the risk of getting yourself stuck. A good old-fashioned winch will usually do a decent job of getting you out of those sticky off-roading situations, but not everyone wants to deal with some of the hassles of a traditional winch system. That's where the Bush Winch can come into play.

The Bush Winch Kit

The Busch Winch is a lightweight self-recovery system that can get just about any vehicle unstuck, whether it's a 2WD mid-size crossover or an AWD premium SUV. It even works on ATVs. But, how does it work?

Simply put, the Bush Winch uses a vehicle's drivetrain to get the job done. All you need is an anchor point and a sturdy connection to a wheel on the vehicle. All it takes is a light application on the gas, which will cause the winch to spool up the winch rope. If the winching system is angled right, you can get out of that rough patch without harmfully dragging the vehicle or damaging the frame.

You can check out the video up top to see this thing in action. As one YouTube commenter puts it, "It's so stupid, it's absolutely brilliant!" Maybe not the first slogan that the makers of the Bush Winch would've gone with, but hey, it gets the point across.
