Danica Patrick may have retired from NASCAR, but that doesn't mean she's completely out of the spotlight. With a number of different endorsement deals, a wine brand and athleisure collection, a high-profile boyfriend in Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and an ESPY Awards hosting gig, Danica still has plenty of reason to make her rounds on the late-night circuit. It also doesn't hurt that she has a story or two up her sleeve that makes for pretty entertaining television.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in July 2018, Patrick recalled the time when she and Rodgers met with the Dalai Lama, with Danica later showing the Buddhist monk one of her crash videos. Let's just say that high-intensity motorsports action isn't exactly his cup of tea.

"We had a monk with us the whole time - a Buddhist monk - for a whole week," Danica told Kimmel. "He traveled from L.A. all the way back to L.A. We literally went around the world, and I was showing him some videos. And I was like, 'Oh, this is an interesting one.' It was a picture of crashes - everybody loves crashes - so I showed it to the lama. And he was like, 'Oh, you should show His Holiness this. He would love it.'
"So I was like, all right, this is gonna be awkward in meeting His Holiness, like, 'Oh, check me out crashing.' So I showed it to him and he kind of handed it back to me. But then later that night, (the) lama told me that they watched more of the video, and he thought that it was really, really, really scary and crazy what I did."
Yeah, I can't see the Lama going to any NASCAR races in the near future, but that's just me.
