NASCAR Hall of Fame members Carl Edwards and Jeff Gordon will see two of their schemes take center stage during the Throwback Weekend race at Darlington Raceway.
Denny Hamlin will celebrate "Cousin Carl" on April 6 as he showcases a red, black, and white Sport Clips scheme. This bright car is a recreation of the No. 99 Office Depot car that Edwards drove during the 2006-07 seasons.

Edwards won three races while driving the bright red Ford for team owner Jack Roush. He first won at Michigan International Speedway midway through the season. The future Hall of Famer then added wins at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dover Motor Speedway.
Byron will continue a trend by celebrating Gordon. He will head to Darlington Raceway with the scheme used by the Hall of Famer in his final start as a full-time driver.
Back in 2015, Gordon headed to Homestead-Miami Speedway with a special Axalta scheme on his No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. This car still featured the flames from other schemes, but they covered a special silver base.

This race capped off a Hall of Fame career for the championship-winning driver. It was also significant in that he was eligible for the title in his final start in the No. 24.
Gordon punched his ticket to the Championship 4 by winning at Martinsville Speedway. He then faced off with Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch, and Kevin Harvick at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Busch won the race and the title, while Harvick finished second. Gordon crossed the line sixth but ended the year third in the standings.
Byron has showcased the four-time champion during past trips to Darlington Raceway, and he has celebrated one win while doing so. He captured the 2023 Goodyear 400 while showcasing a gold scheme previously used by Gordon in the 1998 season.
The Hendrick Motorsports driver will try to lock up another Darlington win with a Gordon throwback scheme, which would take him to 15 career Cup Series wins.
Hamlin, for comparison, will try to win for the fifth time at Darlington as a Cup Series driver. He will do so with his Edwards scheme. If the veteran can achieve this, he will punch his ticket to the playoffs and will score his 55th career Cup win.
