Founded by Kevin Lyman, the Warped Tour began in 1995. Shoe company Vans joined as the title sponsor the following year. This traveling festival was known for punk bands, but it features a wide variety of artists from multiple genres. Each played sets lasting 30-40 minutes, depending on the year.
Some of the artists who have joined the traveling festival over the years are 311, Alien Ant Farm, All Time Low, Reel Big Fish, Andrew WK, Avril Lavigne, Avenged Sevenfold, Blink 182, Billy Idol, Eminem, Good Charlotte, Ice-T, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and Story of the Year among many others.

The Warped Tour last fully crossed the United States in 2018, but Lyman brought it back in 2019 for three dates celebrating the 25th anniversary.
The festival will return once again in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. The first two-day festival will take place June 14-15 in Washington, D.C. The second will be July 26-27 in Long Beach, California. The third will be Nov. 15-16 in Orlando, Florida.
Fans of the long-running music festival are already excited for its return, but more will hear the news this weekend. The Warped Tour partnering with SS GreenLight Racing will ensure some screen time during this weekend's on-track sessions.
The first opportunities will be practice and qualifying on Saturday. Leitz and his fellow Xfinity drivers will take on the 1-mile track at 11:35 a.m. ET for practice (CW app). They will qualify at 12:40 p.m. ET (CW app). The race will take place on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET (CW).
