Kyle Larson will be a busy driver this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway as he pulls triple duty at one of his best tracks.
The 2021 Cup Series champion will compete in all three national NASCAR series races while driving for two different teams. He will pursue his third career win at the 1.5-mile Florida track after previously winning there in Xfinity and Cup.
The weekend will begin with Friday night's Craftsman Truck Series race. Larson will suit up for Spire Motorsports while making his first of two starts for the team this season. He will then drive for Hendrick Motorsports in Saturday afternoon's Xfinity Series race.
The triple duty weekend, as usual, will end with Larson competing in the Sunday afternoon Cup Series race. He will continue his pursuit of his first win this season and his first at Homestead-Miami Speedway since the 2022 playoffs.
"I always feel good going to Homestead," Larson said last weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. "It's probably the track that suits me the best, you know, being comfortable running against the wall and stuff like that. So, yeah, I mean, the last two finishes we've had there don't reflect how we've ran.
"You know, we've been the best every time we go there. We were stupid fast there the second half of the fall race last time we were there with a bunch of damage underneath the car that you can't see. So that was a satisfying run to almost have a shot to win there."
Larson has three previous starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the Craftsman Truck Series. His series debut at the track was in 2012. He started second but finished 27th after leading 48 laps due to a crash.
Larson returned to the 1.5-mile track in 2014 and won the pole for the Truck Series race. He led 96 laps but finished second behind Bubba Wallace, who led 30 laps, including the final 16.
Larson's last Truck Series start at Homestead-Miami Speedway was in 2016. He started third and led 76 laps. He had to settle for fourth behind winner William Byron, runner-up Tyler Reddick, and series champion Johnny Sauter.
The California native will have a chance to finally chase a Truck Series win at Homestead-Miami Speedway once again this weekend as he pulls triple duty.
