The Cup Series season continues with a trip to South Florida. The top drivers in NASCAR will take on Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday afternoon.
This race is the sixth of the season. Tyler Reddick is the defending winner of the Homestead race, which took place during the playoffs last season.
Cup Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway information
Weather: The WeatherUnderground forecast calls for cloudy skies throughout the day. A high of 79 degrees and no chance of rain at the start of the Cup Series race.
Green flag time: The command to fire engines from NFL defender Bradley Chubb will be at 3:02 p.m. ET. The starter will wave the green flag at 3:12 p.m. ET.
Starting lineup: Alex Bowman won the pole for Sunday's Cup Series race. Josh Berry qualified second.
Pre-race: The garage opens at 12 p.m. ET. Driver introductions will take place at 2:25 p.m. ET. Pre-race coverage begins with "NASCAR RaceDay" on FS1 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Race coverage continues on FS1 at 3 p.m. ET.
The invocation will be at 2:54 p.m. ET. The national anthem will be performed at 2:55 p.m. ET.
Stages: The race will consist of three stages. The first stage ends at Lap 80. The second stage ends at Lap 165. The scheduled end of the race is Lap 267.
Playoff picture: The Cup Series drivers have completed five points-paying races with only three drivers securing playoff spots.
William Byron secured his spot by winning the Daytona 500. Christopher Bell then won at Atlanta Motor Speedway, at Circuit of the Americas, and at Phoenix Raceway. Josh Berry snapped Bell's streak by winning at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is the final driver above the playoff cutline with 116 points. Kyle Busch is the first driver below the cutline with 114 points.
Past winners: Multiple Cup Series drivers have celebrated wins at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Denny Hamlin leads all active drivers with three wins at the 1.5-mile track (2009, 2013, 2020).
Busch won at Homestead in 2015 and '19. Joey Logano won in 2018, Byron won in 2021, Kyle Larson won in 2022, Bell won in 2023, and Tyler Reddick won last season.
