Three members of the NASCAR Xfinity Series lineup are providing a behind-the-scenes look at their lives. Connor Zilisch, Jesse Love, and Daniel Dye have joined forces for Shake N Bake Sports.
According to a press release, the three Xfinity drivers are co-founders of the multimedia sports and entertainment company. They join fellow driver-turned-spotter Will Rodgers, industry member Collin Fern, 500 Club professional Alex Fourie, and group professional Rip.
This group of friends will release weekly YouTube videos showcasing their lives away from the track, starting on April 14 with a golf-centric episode. The members of the Shake N Bake group battle to be the fastest to complete hole No. 3 at The 500 Club in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina.
"I am really pumped to showcase this group of guys and how much fun we have, even though we may be rivals on the race track," Love said in a press release.
"Fans see us go head-to-head against each other on track each week, but this gives us a chance to show that not only are we fierce competitors, but great friends as well."
While the drivers battle on the track each weekend of the season, they also spend a considerable amount of time together away from their race cars.
Love previously discussed his love of golf and his regular outings with Dye to Pinehurst Resort and Country Club when they were both competing in lower series.
He and Zilisch were roommates, and they continue to tease each other mercilessly on social media. They also play video games together and jokingly argue about music.
"I'm not a heavy metal guy, but we went to a lot of concerts together last year, and I think our favorite one was the Foo Fighters concert we went to," Zilisch told AltDriver in February. "I'm a big 90s alternative rock guy, and so is he so whenever we're in the car, that's usually what's playing.
"And then sometimes I'll play country music, and he'll be like, 'Dude, what are we listening to?' I try and keep him as happy as possible because you don't want a mad Jesse. ...We mess around with each other quite a bit."
The three drivers have provided glimpses of their friendship to select media members and to social media users. Now, they will provide an even bigger using a platform that they control.
