The NASCAR Xfinity Series teams have completed six races so far this season, and Chevrolet has set a blistering pace while dominating an important category.
The Bowtie drivers have combined to lead 809 laps, which is 84% of the possible 963 this season. They have done so while winning five of the first six races. Toyota is the only other manufacturer to visit victory lane this season.
Justin Allgaier has led the way for Chevrolet while scoring two wins. He has led a series-high 264 laps this season in the No. 7 JR Motorsports entry while taking the points lead and posting an average finish of 9.3.
Richard Childress Racing's Austin Hill is second in laps led this season. His No. 21 Chevrolet has spent 210 laps at the front of the pack. Hill is the only other driver to lead at least 200 laps this season.
The other Chevrolet drivers to lead laps this season are Kyle Larson (132), Connor Zilisch (59), Jesse Love (53), Alex Bowman (50), Sammy Smith (17), Carson Kvapil (nine), Caeser Bacarella (four), Jeb Burton (four), William Byron (three), Ross Chastain (two), Leland Honeyman (one), Nick Sanchez (one), and Nick Leitz (one).
The only other driver to lead more than 50 laps this season belongs to the Toyota Gazoo Racing North America camp. Aric Almirola has led 77 laps in the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota GR Supra while scoring one win.
Almirola is also the only non-Chevrolet driver to visit victory lane. He pinched Bowman against the wall at Phoenix and scored his first win of the season. He prevented a clean Chevrolet sweep early in the season.
The Chevrolet winning streak began with Love at Daytona. It continued with Hill at Atlanta and then Zilisch at Circuit of the Americas. Almirola then snapped the streak at Phoenix before Allgaier started another with wins at Las Vegas and Homestead.
The veteran driver will be back on the starting grid this weekend at Martinsville as he aims to win his third consecutive race at the .526-mile short track. He will face off with a packed field of drivers, including Allgaier, who seeks his third win in a row.
