It's not every day you get to see a Sherp on the road. Well, maybe in Russia you might, but this was captured by a Tesla 3 camera in British Columbia, Canada. Not exactly the most practical vehicle to lug around town. Just look at how massive those tires are! I wouldn't want to be in front of this thing.

For those that don't know, a Sherp ATV is a Russian amphibious vehicle. That's right, not only can it conquer any type of terrain on land, but it can also tackle water crossings, as well. Equipped with a 1.4-liter Kubota turbodiesel engine, it makes 44 horsepower, giving it a top speed of 30 MPH on land and 5 MPH on water. It also comes with enormous 63" x 25" tires, ensuring that it gets over any obstacle in its path.

Not only is it wildly capable, it's durable enough to handle anything you throw at it. It features a high-strength steel body, with a roll cage reinforcement to keep the occupants safe. You could flip this thing, and the Sherp wouldn't miss a beat. It's got massive fuel tanks, tons of skid plates, and even a dual-heating system, so you can keep things moving on your adventure for hours and hours. This machine is made for a challenge. In fact, that's when it thrives the most. This is the ultimate off-road vehicle!

I wouldn't count on seeing many out on the roads, however, considering they're not exactly street legal. If you do see one, I'd probably recommend pulling over and letting it pass you. Unless, of course, you like living life on the edge. I'm sure it was a bit of a shock for this Tesla owner to see this mammoth, but at least they got a pretty cool video out of it, and a fun story to tell their friends.
