When you love being on two wheels, it shows. These two guys featured in the above video from Motorcyclist Magazine are a great example of that. While many people haul their bikes on a trailer behind a truck, or directly in the bed of the truck, they wanted to find an alternative that better suited their lifestyle. They came up with the idea of hooking a trailer to a touring bike, and hauling dirt bikes out to Utah.

The idea might seem a little crazy and unsafe at first, but then it starts to grow on you a bit. As they mounted up on their bikes to begin their road trip out to the sand dunes, it took a little bit of getting used to at first. In the end, the bigger engines in the touring bikes seemed to handle the extra weight pretty well, and it turned out to be much easier to control than what you might think. They had a long trip out to Utah, so along the way they stopped at tons of different landmarks to do some sightseeing.

Once they finally made it out to their camp, they unloaded the bikes and got ready for the real fun. Neither one of these riders had much dirt bike experience before this video, but that's part of what makes it so enjoyable. The whole idea was to go out of their comfort zone and experience something new. They accomplished that by getting some seat time off-road, and by towing the motorcycles behind a bike for the first time. They ended up having a blast, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to go out and do the same thing after seeing this.

Every now and then, you'll see a Harley-Davidson with a trailer, but this is definitely the first time seeing a cruiser haul another motorcycle. This is one hell of a way for you and your riding buddies to spend a weekend.
