In a world where more and more everyday people are underpaid and overworked, one group of individuals seems to be doing better than ever. We’ll give you a hint: It’s the group that can afford things like custom-built superyachts.
If you’re looking for a visual representation of how much excess some people can convince themselves that they deserve while others go hungry and homeless, we’ve got just the thing. This virtual tour of a 783 gross tonnage superyacht will make you dry heave. If you’re not a billionaire, that is.
The Jade Superyacht: Luxury to the Extreme
The VIP Jade 959 superyacht was built by the Taiwan company Jade Yachts in their motor yacht shipyard with styling by interior designer Espinosa and exterior designer Central Yacht. The luxury yacht is classified as an expedition yacht, so it can take you to nice warm destinations like Monaco and the French and Italian Riviera. This mega yacht has a cruising speed of 11 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. It has a 4,000 nautical mile range thanks to its 93,000-liter fuel tank.
The charter yacht has two master suites, two master staterooms, six guest cabins, a conference room, a sundeck, a jacuzzi, WiFi, gym equipment, and a medical suite. Seems like a place where Dan Bilzerian could throw himself one hell of a party.
Charter prices for this colossal yacht range from about $260,000 to $270,000 per week, depending on whether you’re the thrifty type of billionaire that travels in the low season. We’re gonna go out on a limb and assume that no one reading this has the type of expendable cash to afford a trip on the Jade superyacht, or any superyacht for that matter. But, hey, it looks like a pretty wild ride, doesn’t it?
