When looking for a daily driver, our typical checklist looks a lot different than what we are used to. Instead of horsepower being first and second, followed by handling, fun and cool factor, storage space and a comfortable ride all of sudden matters.
Weirdly enough, there is a race car out there that checks all the boxes of a typical daily, but with a huge amount of added flair.
This Hyundai i20 started life as a run-of-the-mill Korean hatchback, so it still has all the space you need for groceries. Being a rally car, it has adequate ride height for those pesky speed bumps.
So, getting in and out takes five minutes, you'd need to wear ear protection every time you need milk, and you have to open the door to use a drive through, but other than that, it's perfect. Just install some useful mirrors because the Hyundai dealer probably doesn't stock a lot of replacement parts.
