Remember when you were a kid and built epic Hot Wheels tracks that you would play with for weeks and weeks? Well, the Hot Wheels setup in the video above is probably unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Mechanical engineer turned renowned YouTuber Mark Rober took everyone's favorite childhood hobby and turned it up to 11 with this Hot Wheels stunt race that would be better suited for the big screen than some average Joe's living room.

Per Mark Rober:

This is the Hot Wheels race of my childhood dreams. It's a little different of a vid for me but I wanted to learn how to film like the pros.

I made a Hot Wheels race video between Knight Rider, Scooby Doo, the A-Team van, Ghostbusters Wagon and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. It also features our 2 dogs and a bunch of my son's toys.

Can you imagine how long this must've taken to set up? I mean, this is definitely only something a mechanical engineer could have cooked up.

Sure, it helps that the whole thing was filmed using GoPros, a Red Epic camera, and a Phantom high-speed camera, making the entire Hot Wheels experience look way more epic than it probably looked in person. That being said, when you have a track that goes through a various tunnels, a swimming pool, and ends in freakin' flames -- slow motion or not -- you have all the makings of something straight out of a Lego Fast and Furious movie.

Talk about one serious adrenaline rush. This has me wanting to dust off the ol' Hot Wheels set and put together a stunt race of my own. Hopefully Mom still has it back home.
