This Cadillac CTS-V might be the actual Batmobile. It produces 1,700 horsepower, which is good, considering the car is about as aerodynamic as a brick and weighs 4,200 pounds. But, even with all that weight, this Caddy just squats and goes.
Back in October 2017 at the Street Car Takeover event in Atlanta, auto expert and YouTube star "Cleetus McFarland" (for those not familiar with his exploits, his real name is Garrett Mitchell) took the 1320video camera down to the track to document the beast on the road. There were just so many bald eagles. When it was all said and done, though, the owners of the CTS-V took home two titles and a world record. The Caddy flew by at 182 MPH, marking 7.62 seconds on the strip. Bravo. That's just a job well done. You gotta love it.
But, at the end of it all, words don't do this scene justice. Just watch the video. Seriously, stop what you're doing right now, and watch history get made!

As you can tell, the CTS-V has come leaps and bounds since it was first introduced back in 2004. Initially, the 5.7-liter pushrod OHV LS6 engine was rated at 400 horsepower at 6,000 RPM and with 395 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 RPM. But, once some fine folks decided to strap it to the dyno, they discovered that it generated about 350 horsepower to the wheels, equating to around 425 horsepower on the crankshaft. Long story short, that led to some of the more ambitious gearheads out there souping up CTS-V's like the one in the above video.
There's just nothing better than watching already-fast cars go even faster. Especially when those cars are American made.
