If you have a seriously souped-up sports car at your disposal, you'd be crazy to not want to show off its pure power and torque. There are a few ways to do that, but nothing screams "I've got a ridiculously sick ride that can blow anything else out of the water" quite like an epic drifting session. Enter Formula Drift racer Matt Field, who, along with his 1,060 horsepower Chevrolet Corvette, showed up to an incredible mountain road and put on a drifting show for the books.

On top of all that, the whole thing was filmed via drone, which only adds to the makings of a can't-miss Corvette drifting video. HeatWaveVisual, which is known for putting out high-quality drifting and off-roading videos, produced the drifting video and brings us perhaps its best work yet.

But don't just take my word for it. Check it out for yourself!

Pretty awesome, right? If Formula Drift racing is your thing, then 2018 was a big year for that. Field's big session went down in October of that year, and a month before that, Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. teamed up with Ford Performance and went to the iconic Nürburgring race track in Germany to drift in his 900-horsepower supercharged Ford Mustang RTR drift car.

Gittin, who currently competes in the Formula D series behind the wheel of his 2018 Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR, pointed out that drifting the 12.9-mile long Nordschleife lap "took a few sets" of tires. Not to steal Matt Field's thunder or anything, but that's a pretty damn impressive drifting feat.
