Time and time again, we’ve seen proof that you can strap an engine to almost anything and turn it into an epic motorized machine. We say almost anything, because an engine probably wouldn’t do much good on a bowl of fruit or a bundle of sticks or, you know, any object that doesn’t really have the capacity to move anywhere. But you get the point.
Anyway, nothing proves that whole “just throw an engine on it” sentiment to be true quite like the above video of a motorized drift trike hitting a track with some pretty amazing speed and precision.
In this collaboration between Gentleman’s Automotive Streetwear and Rockwell Watches, the drift trike takes to the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah to show what it’s made of.
Now, if you were wondering what the trike was literally made of, you can take a look at a few of the basic specs below.
- Custom chassis
- 9HP Honda 4 stroke
- Wilwood disc brake and rear brake
- Stratos go-kart rear axle
- 20″ BMX bicycle front wheel
- Universal twist throttle
- Scooter master cylinder
When you put them all together, the drift trike parts make for one completely legendary machine. Could you imagine having something like this as a kid? It really makes the plastic trike from Walmart a lot of us used to ride around in seem pretty lame in comparison, doesn’t it?
