Truck Crushes Motorcycle, Rider Barely Escapes

It's a tale as old as time. You're driving along, places to go, people to see, and, as misfortune would have it, you get stuck behind a big, slow-moving truck. It's a pain in the ass, right? I mean, sure, it's not the worst thing in the world, but it's definitely an inconvenience, especially if you've got somewhere to be in a hurry.

Now, imagine you're stuck behind a truck, and then, all of the sudden, it just starts backing up. "Wait, this guy has to see me at some point, right?" you think to yourself. But, nope, the truck just keeps backing up. That's when that "inconvenience" I mentioned earlier becomes a major problem. If you happen to riding a motorcycle, that major problem becomes a life-or-death situation.

One motorcycle rider in Guapiles, Costa Rica, fortunately got dealt the "life" option in his life-or-death situation after a reversing truck narrowly missed running him over, but completely crushed his bike in the process.

"After stopping at an intersection the truck and trailer attempted to park," the video's description reads. "The bike was in a blind spot and was rolled over by it. The rider of the motorcycle, an elderly gentleman, reacted just in time and rolled out of the way."

Now, I know the video's description says the motorcyclist was "in a blind spot," but I'd bet a decent amount of money that the truck driver didn't even check his mirrors. Probably just assumed he was good to go and started backing up. Yeah, that's definitely one way to get yourself fired.
