Pickup Barely Misses Car, But Causes Crash Moments Later

Being involved in a near-miss car accident has to be an absolute emotional roller coaster. One second, you're preparing yourself for the absolute worst, and the next, you're coming down from a practical heart attack and wondering how in the hell you and your car managed to make it out in one piece.

For one man driving through Peyton, Colorado, his near-miss moment had to be all the more nerve-wracking, considering that he witnessed the pickup truck that almost hit him cause a major accident only moments later. The driver captured the whole thing on dashcam, and judging from everything that went down, it's incredible that he managed to stay cool, calm, and collected the entire time, even springing into action at the end.

"This video is from the dashcam in my folder for tow truck," writes the video's uploader. "As I was leaving my junkyard, the truck in oncoming lanes veered towards me. I was able to narrowly avoid being hit, but as I watched in my rearview mirror I watched him collide head-on with the truck behind me. The driver of the truck that crossed the centerline was ejected from the vehicle but everyone survived the accident."

Hold up, let's read that last line one more time. "The driver of the truck that crossed the centerline was ejected from the vehicle but everyone survived the accident." I mean, that's freakin' unreal. In most cases, getting thrown from a vehicle means either death or extremely serious injury.

It's fortunate that the pickup driver ended up living to haul ass down the highway another day, but he could've avoided the whole disastrous situation entirely if he had been just a little more patient. Or, at least, better at timing his car-passing lane changes.
