CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) -- Police in South Texas have praised the actions of officers and good Samaritans who saved a 70-year-old man from a burning vehicle before dawn on New Year's Day.
Video tweeted by Corpus Christi police shows patrol car video capturing the dramatic rescue from a vehicle that's in flames and flipped on its side.

Police say the victim's vehicle was struck by a vehicle going the wrong way on a highway. Several people are seen working together to rock the burning vehicle and eventually upright it, so officers can extricate the victim.
Corpus Christi police say the wrong-way driver was killed in the wreck.
