Trucking is one of the most important professions in America. Truck drivers work in tough conditions for insane hours to get America our products when we want 'em. These drivers take time away from their families and often sacrifice their health for this profession. That being said, there is a lot of pride involved with being a truck driver.
It takes a lot of skill to be a professional truck driver. It might not seem like it at first, but consider everything they go through. Long hours behind the wheel, tight schedules, and the simple fact that they're driving the biggest damn things on the road all make trucking a very demanding job. One tiny mistake behind the wheel could be the end of the road for countless lives.
Check out some truck driving mastery here:
Some truckers are more skilled than others. They don't just give away trucking licenses, either. They are tough to obtain. Classes and practice are involved.
After some time behind the wheel, drivers become extremely skilled and are able to pull off some amazing maneuvers. These maneuvers can be especially useful when trying to catch some z's or grab some grub at a rest stop. The faster truckers can get some rest, the faster they can get back on the road and keep America going.
This jackknife maneuver is incredibly difficult, especially with the massive 53-foot trailer attached. Truck drivers have limited visibility, to say the least. Anything is possible with experience and some good ol' fashioned trial and error (go easy on the error). If you are considering becoming a truck driver, then this clip will either be great motivation or send you running for your life from the difficult profession. Keep on truckin', America.
