Twisted Metal Mayhem is the official demolition derby of the Central Texas State Fair, and just judging by the name alone, you can bet that this event is all about providing the best kind of high-octane destruction.

What You Need to Know About Twisted Metal Mayhem Demolition Derby

Held at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton, Texas, this fun-for-all-ages extravaganza -- which is billed as the largest indoor demo derby in Central Texas -- features drivers from Kansas, Oklahoma, and, of course, the Lone Star State.

There are four official competition classes in the demolition derby event: Full Size Class, Compact Class, Mini Van Class, and a Power Wheels Class for the kids. According to TwistedMetalMayhem.com, demolition winners will receive prizes of $2,500, $1,500, or $500. As in, you can actually get paid just for being really good at slamming your twisted metal vehicle into someone else's twisted metal vehicle. Heck, I know a decent amount of folks who would do something like this for free!

The twisted mind behind the Twisted Metal Mayhem demo derby is promoter Pat Wilson, who has over 14 years experience running motorsports events all over the United States.

Wilson has also promoted over 30 demolition derbies, so even though the idea of a mini van demo derby may sound weird to you, trust us, this guy knows what he's doing.
