Love them or hate them, gender reveals have no doubt grown in popularity over the last several years. With seemingly more folks doing them than not these days, it's certainly hard to come up with an original reveal idea. Hey, not everyone can be as clever as this blue powder-farting savant.
Back in April 2016, Andrew Roybal, determined to set himself apart from the pack, decided to use his prized Duramax V8-powered GMC Sierra (you can check out more videos of the truck here) to announce the gender of he and his wife's child. As you can see from the below video, it was a huge success!

Following the epic announcement, Roybal did what most internet-savvy truck aficionados would do: He took it to the forum! A forum for Chevy and GMC Duramax diesel owners, to be exact.
Per Duramax Forum:
So y'all may have seen in my build thread that me and my wife are expecting are first child. Well the time has came to learn the gender. We decided on doing a gender reveal party only if it could involve the truck. So I racked my brain for weeks trying to figure out the perfect way and idea of going about it. It ended up being me staying up tell 3am the day of the reveal to get exactly the idea I wanted, and without testing my new plan I had to go with it.
It turned out great and I really hope y'all like it. We are so excited!!
Nowadays, Duramax and truck-based gender reveals are pretty much a dime a dozen, but the Roybals jumped on the trend before it was hot. And, for that, we salute them.
