Imagine just driving along the road, and, next thing you know, you're surrounded by hundreds of bison. That's exactly what happened to this driver, who quickly pulled out his phone to record the whole event. Let's be real, you can't really do much in this situation, other than wait for the animals to get out of the way, but this is certainly a wild thing to witness.
This crazy occurrence happened in the beautifully scenic Yellowstone National Park, near the North East entrance. Not only were the bison crossing the road, but they headed directly toward the truck as he came up on them. The driver also stated the bison began running on the tailgate of his truck at one point. Surely, a bunch of bison that weigh over 1,000 pounds getting that close is enough to make you just a little nervous.
When you travel through this part of the United States, you're guaranteed to see some amazing views, but I don't think anyone was expecting to come up on something like this. It's something that the normal person would rarely ever get a chance to see in real life, so I'm sure that was an extremely cool experience for those that were there for this. The video shows just how massive these animals actually are, so it's a good thing the driver was inside the truck.
Luckily for the driver, a gap eventually opened up before too long, so that he could continue along his journey. He managed to move passed the herd without any damage to his truck, and now he has this stunning video to look back on. It's always fun to get out of the major cities to see this amazing country and all that inhabit it firsthand. You never truly know what you're going to witness, and this is a prime example of that.
