Old Smokey F1 is the Rube Waddell of muscle cars. It's ugly, beat to hell, but, damn, can it play.

The truck started life as a 1949 Ford, so, yeah, that answers your first question. Old Smokey is not stock. Scott Birdsall found the truck on Craigslist for $225; Old Smokey had spent the last 20 years covered in bushes and dirt, and to Birdsall, it was beautiful.

Birdsall took it to Chuckles Garage in Santa Rosa, California, and told them to do some ungodly things to his truck, so they did. At the end of the whole ordeal, there was a '49 body sitting on top of a full tube chassis, which struggled to contain the 1,233 horsepower monstrosity with over 2,000 lb. ft. of torque.

In case you needed more proof of how unbelievably powerful Old Smokey is, it actually blew a tire at the Hoonigan garage. That never happens!
