Do you remember the dirt track scene from the classic racing movie Days of Thunder when Cole Trickle is first showing off his skills? Well, Tom Cotter definitely remembered.
For episode 5 of his Barn Find Hunter series back in 2016, Cotter headed to North Carolina and dug up the flame-covered Chevy Camaro and the formidable ’70s Dodge Charger that made appearances in the 1990 drama starring Tom Cruise and Robert Duvall. In addition to those rare finds, he also uncovers a slew of old Fords and Volkswagens. For all you NASCAR fans out there, Cotter also gives us a look at an old school Bobby Allison Winston Cup stock car. That throwback Miller paint scheme really is something else. Really makes you nostalgic for NASCAR from way, way back in the day.
Speaking of nostalgia, let’s see what else Cotter found during his trip to the Tar Heel State.
Awesome stuff, right? Nothing better than a good, old fashioned barn find!
If you love classic muscle cars and vintage rides, the Barn Find Hunter is doing the Lord’s work. You really gotta love this guy. There’s nothing this dude can’t track down. Traveling the country in his 1939 Ford Woodie Wagon, Cotter has done more than 70 episodes of his Barn Find Hunter series and has found a number of incredible vehicles. From a fiberglass Cisitalia 202 Coupe with half a Duesenberg engine that raced at Bonneville to a rare 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a 429 Cobra Jet engine, Cotter has stumbled upon treasure trove after treasure trove over the years.
We can’t wait to see what he manages to uncover next!
