You know, driving on the roads today is exponentially different than it was 80 years ago. In the video below, you'll get to witness some awesome footage from the streets of some of the biggest cities during the 1940s. Man, I sure do wish I could have experienced this person.

Notice the differences? There may be more traffic in the '40s than you'd expect, but it's nowhere near what you would find on the roads today. On top of that, it's amazing to see the consideration that all the drivers have for the others around them. There's no road raging, tailgating, or angry hand gestures going on, but instead, you can see people going about their day in a calm, cool, and collected manner.

Watching these cars drive around with the music in the background is almost therapeutic, and it'll bring you back to a completely different time.

I have to say, it's extremely intriguing watching this vintage footage. There are tons of classic '40s cars, beautiful buildings, clean streets, and a booming city. Let me also point out that people are actually paying attention to their lives, rather than staring blankly at a phone screen.

Knowing that all these cars are standard, it's cool to see just how many people were able to drive them around. Today, only around 18 percent of people can drive stick, and that's just sad. A combination of all these things makes this time very admirable.

If you love the classic cars, this video will be even more interesting to you. Man, what I would do to drive around on a street full of rides like these. This was back when cars truly had style, and even though it was a long time ago, it's sad that only small numbers of these cars exists nowadays. If someone ever creates the time machine, I know where I'm headed.
