Toyota is paying fitting tribute to their un-killable trucks

Toyota is celebrating 50 years of indestructible truck power with the special-edition Hilux "Invincible 50." The auto manufacturer unveiled the Hilux way back in 1968 and since then built over 18 million trucks. That's an impressive milestone to reach.

The new Invincible 50 Hilux made its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, and it is pretty easy on the eyes, which is good, because we have literally no information about what's going on under the hood of this thing. Toyota didn't go crazy with changes on the 50, instead it opted for more subtle additions like flared fenders, a roll bar behind the cab, and a much larger badge declaring how tough the truck truly is.

Seriously though, if you have any doubts about the capabilities of a Hilux, tune in Top Gear to see Jeremy Clarkson desperately try to destroy one.

Congratulations on reaching 50 with the Hilux, Toyota.
