Another day, another NASCAR driver's future up in the air.
This time it's veteran driver Reed Sorenson, who has spent the last two seasons driving for Premium Motorsports.
On the surface, Premium and Sorenson haven't has much success this season. He ranks 36th in the driver standings, with an average start of 35 and an average finish of 32. His best finish of the year -- 25 at Kansas in May.
But as a smaller team, Premium doesn't have the financial advantages of the big boys, and given that, Sorenson likes where the team is headed.

"The sport is always changing, and for a small team like Premium, it's very tough, at the top level, to keep up with what the big teams are doing and how they're able to find speed," Sorenson said in remarks reported by The Racing Experts.
"With the amount of money that they're able to spend versus what we can, it's a pretty big gap between the two."
Whether Sorenson comes back depends on money, and he knows it. He said he and team owner Jay Robinson want him to return because they enjoy working together.
"We're always trying to find sponsorship, that's the toughest thing out there right now, is trying to secure funding."
