Chip Gaines' popular show "Fixer Upper" won't be producing new episodes on HGTV, but Gaines has already found something to take up his time.

According to KXXV.com, Gaines will drive the pace car for the AAA Texas 500 on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. ET at Texas Motor Speedway.

Gaines will be driving the 2017 Chevrolet SS while leading the pack of 40 drivers.

"I'm honored to have been invited to drive the pace car in November, but I can't promise that I'll pull over after the first lap," Gaines said. "And growing up in Colleyville, this might actually be the first time I don't get in trouble for speeding in Roanoke."

"Fixer Upper" first aired in 2013, and the show included Gaines and his wife, Joanna, working on homes.

The race at Texas Motor Speedway will have major playoff implications. After that race, there will only be two remaining in the season.

Jimmie Johnson won at Texas earlier this season.
