JR Motorsports will lead the Xfinity Series field to the green flag Saturday evening at Martinsville Speedway (5 p.m. ET on CW). Connor Zilisch will start from the pole position, while teammate Carson Kvapil will join him on the front row.
Zilisch won the pole with a lap of 19.888 seconds. This is his third start from the pole in 11 Xfinity Series races. The rookie also won the pole at Circuit of the Americas earlier this season before winning his way into the playoffs.

Kvapil qualified second with a lap of 19.914 seconds. Richard Childress Racing teammates Austin Hill (19.989) and Jesse Love (20.041) made up the second row.
The rest of the top 10 included Harrison Burton (20.066), Justin Allgaier (20.067), Brandon Jones (20.073), Corey Day (20.093), Daniel Dye (20.103), and Sammy Smith (20.107).
Burton, Allgaier, and Jones have all won Xfinity Series races at Martinsville since 2020. Allgaier, in particular, punched his ticket to the Championship 4 with a win in 2023.
Allgaier and Hill are the only Dash 4 Cash drivers who qualified inside the top 10. Sam Mayer (20.182) and Sheldon Creed (20.186), the other two drivers racing for the $100,000 bonus, qualified 16th and 18th, respectively.
Aric Almirola, who swept last season's Xfinity races at Martinsville, qualified 15th with a lap of 20.163 seconds. The veteran driver started sixth and ninth for the two short track races last season.
Having Zilisch and Kvapil leading the starting lineup at Martinsville will be key for JR Motorsports. The championship-winning organization has made 39 starts at the .526-mile Virginia since 2006 but has only celebrated three wins.
Josh Berry was the first driver to lock up a win at Martinsville. He captured the 2021 race while running a part-time schedule and set himself up to secure a full-time opportunity the following season.
Noah Gragson was the next JR Motorsports driver to visit victory lane. He captured the 2021 playoff race, which sent him to the Championship 4 for the first time. Allgaier's win in 2023 marked the last time JR Motorsports celebrated at the short track.
