Trackhouse Racing has bolstered its competition department by hiring longtime industry veteran Todd Meredith, who will serve as its President of Racing Operations.
According to a press release, Meredith kicked off his tenure at Trackhouse Racing on Monday, the day after Shane van Gisbergen won at Sonoma Raceway. He will not replace any existing members of the competition leadership team. Instead, Meredith will oversee this group.
The new addition to Trackhouse Racing has a long history in NASCAR. He joined Joe Gibbs Racing back in 1992 after graduating from Virginia Tech.
Meredith spent decades at the company as it grew into a championship-winning organization, and he ultimately became Chief Operating Officer in 2013. He remained in this role until 2016.

"I feel at home in NASCAR and wanted to return in some form," Meredith said in a press release. "The more I talked with Justin, the more I was excited by his vision of Trackhouse Racing. The team is very talented and quite successful, as you have seen in the last few months, but we want even more."
Said team owner Justin Marks, "We're thrilled to welcome someone of Todd's caliber and experience to help guide Trackhouse from the top.
"His focus on culture, strategy, quick decision making and organization will be a massive shot in the arm for this company as we navigate a pivotal growth period in the history of Trackhouse Racing."
While Meredith will take over as President of Racing Operations on the competition side, Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Lukanich will continue to have a critical role on the other side of the business. He will continue to oversee all business, marketing, and partner relationships for the Cup Series organization.
The hiring of Meredith continues a string of changes at Trackhouse Racing. Longtime co-owner Pitbull parted ways with the team ahead of the season while former business executive Ty Norris headed to Kaulig Racing.
The Marks-led organization also branched out into other racing series. Trackhouse joined the MotoGP lineup on a full-time basis. It also took on the Rolex 24 at Daytona after partnering with TF Sport.
