DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- A significant change is taking place at Trackhouse Racing. Platinum-selling artist Pitbull has announced that he and the team are ending their partnership.
Pitbull announced the news with a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. He stated that this change is effective immediately.
"Ending partnership with Trackhouse Racing," Pitbull wrote. "Over the past five years, we've made history by introducing NASCAR to a whole new audience and falling in love with NASCAR fans at the same time.
"We have made the decision to terminate the partnership with Trackhouse Racing, effective immediately. We're looking forward to performing on the sport's biggest stage this Sunday, the Daytona 500. It is a true honor, Dale!"
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, has been a partner at Trackhouse Racing since the NASCAR Cup Series team's inception. He has watched it grow from a single-car team leasing a charter to one with three full-time Cup drivers.
We’re honored and humbled that @pitbull has chosen to take this journey with Trackhouse.
Thank you for all you’ve done and good luck on your next venture! DALE!!! pic.twitter.com/FYkpnbN6NJ

Pitbull's time with Trackhouse Racing has featured multiple endeavors. The team supported his SLAM! Charter School in the Little Havana section of Miami by donating a primary scheme on Daniel Suarez's Cup Series car. They worked together to raise money for the SLAM! Charter School's students' collegiate scholarship fund.
The Trackhouse Racing cars later helped promote some of Pitbull's music. Suarez had schemes featuring the artist on the sides and hood of his car at New Hampshire and Dover. Pitbull even named an album after the Cup Series team.
"This is a great business story," team owner Justin Marks wrote on X. "Armando came in when we had no certainty of any material success and took a chance to help build a brand.
"Now that we've scaled up and have new partners, he's been able to be rewarded for the impact he's made. A great investment on both ends. Excited to see what he does next! DALE!"
