Trackhouse Racing names primary sponsor for SVG, Zilisch

Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch have an important sponsor in place for the 2025 NASCAR season.

According to an announcement from Trackhouse Racing, WeatherTech will have a strong presence in multiple NASCAR series while serving as the primary partner for 36 combined races.

The vehicle accessory company will continue its support of van Gisbergen as he moves to the Cup Series on a full-time basis to drive the No. 88. WeatherTech will join Zilisch for the first time in NASCAR as he joins JR Motorsports to drive the No. 88 full-time in the Xfinity Series.

"WeatherTech has been part of racing ever since I started," Zilisch said in a press release. "WeatherTech has played such a significant role in the success of sports car racing in America so I feel honored I can carry their brand to the Xfinity Series.

"Plus, I love the paint scheme and hope to have it near the front on Saturdays and then watch Shane on Sundays in 2025."

WeatherTech has already celebrated some successes with van Gisbergen. The New Zealand native has three wins this season in Xfinity. He has featured the white and red scheme in two of them -- Sonoma and Chicago. Quad Lock was his primary partner for the win at Portland.

The 2025 Cup Series season gives SVG more opportunities to put WeatherTech into Victory Lane. If he can do so, he will add to a historic number's legacy.

The No. 88 has won 76 Cup Series races with drivers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Alex Bowman, Ricky Rudd, Rusty Wallace, Donnie Allison, and Dale Jarrett.

Trackhouse Racing has the goal of adding to this number as van Gisbergen takes on the full Cup schedule. However, the three-time Supercars champion knows there will be some growing pains.

"WeatherTech has been in racing a long time and they understand what it takes to succeed in the marketplace as well as on the racetrack," van Gisbergen said. "In fact, I have raced with (WeatherTech founder David MacNeil's son) Cooper MacNeil in IMSA.

"They have been a huge supporter of mine this year and I'm looking forward to taking WeatherTech to the Cup Series in 2025. We both know there will be a huge learning curve, but we're ready for the challenge."
