TRD USA reveals new Camry TA2 race car

A new era begins for the Trans Am Series as Toyota Racing Development USA has revealed its new Toyota Camry body.

This updated race car will make its debut this weekend during the trip to Road Atlanta (March 20-23). Two drivers will put the new Camry body on display while competing at the 2.540-mile road course.

Tyler Gonzalez will drive the No. 10 Toyota Camry for Nitro Motorsports while Mobil 1 serves as his primary sponsor. Thomas Annunziata will drive the No. 90 for Nitro Motorsports while showcasing a GR livery.

Gonzalez is a member of TRD's development driver lineup. Along with showcasing the new race car this weekend, he will drive a GR Supra GT4 for RAFA Racing Club in 2025 as he competes in SRO, the global leader in GT racing.

This updated Toyota Camry body is the result of months of collaboration between TRD USA and Five Star RaceCar Bodies -- the official body manufacturer for the TA2 Series.

The companies worked closely with Trans Am officials on the development and production so that the updated bodies would be ready for competition this weekend and for the rest of the Trans Am Series.

"We are thrilled to be able to officially unveil the Toyota Camry body for the TA2 Series," said Jack Irving, general manager of TRD USA, in a statement.

"This body is the result of the diligent effort of so many people at TRD, Trans Am, and Five Star. For us at TRD, we continue to see the value of the TA2 Series as our development drivers are able to get quality reps on iconic road courses across the country. This new body further shows the commitment Toyota has to Trans Am, now and into the future."

Said Trans Am President Andy Lally, "We are elated to welcome the new Toyota Camry body to the paddock in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series.

"The Trans Am Series prides itself as a proving ground for the future stars of stock car racing, and we've been fortunate to see many Toyota Development Drivers find success in Trans Am. We're thrilled to be able to pair their promising talents with manufacturer support in our series."
